Did I just see Edward Snowden at Harvard?

Uh, no, but I did a double take when I saw him.

When I asked Snowden's doppelgänger seated on a crimson couch if anyone else noticed the resemblance, he smiled and told me that on a recent flight, the airline steward asked him, "Do you know who you look like?"

I think he should consider himself lucky his plane wasn't forced to land!

It's a good thing the steward recognized Edward Snowden's likeness.  The more people who know who Snowden is and understand what he sacrificed to blow the whistle on the NSA for overreaching our right to privacy, the better.  I hope Edward Snowden becomes an American household icon of virtue, making it politically and morally impossible for the US Government to prosecute him for exposing their crimes against the 4th Amendment.

Seeing his look alike at Harvard, free to take classes, made me feel sorry for the real Edward Snowden, a young man who has had his passport revoked by government officials who should thank him for safeguarding our Constitution for which the founding fathers asked them to swear an oath to support and defend.  Snowden's patriot act should trump any and all unconstitutional laws enforced by secret courts in a nation that was built on openness, freedom, and the civil rights our US Constitution guarantees.
