We are Boston Strong (photo diary 4-17-13)
My walk began at Boston Public Garden. The swan boats, cherry tree blossoms, and weeping willows are the first signs of spring.
The Boston Policeman armed with a rifle is the first sign I saw on my walk today that Boston was attacked.
A needy vet holds a sign that he will remain silent until justice is done.
Flowers strewn along a barricade that blocks access to Boylston Street on Clarendon Street.
Sign on Dartmouth Street barricade quoting 8 year old Martin Richard's message, "No more hurting people," who tragically did not survive the bombing. In the distance, the tents erected in Copley Square for the Boston Marathon are still up.
A shop on Newbury Street has the words "Stay Strong Boston" written on the window.
A Newbury Street restaurant's outdoor cafe is bustling.
"We are Boston Strong" scrawled on the sidewalk with chalk.
Young musicians play jazz in front of CVS, soothing Rx to our nerves.
"Remember Boston. Thoughts and prayers to Family of the injured. 4-15-13"
